HomeExpress Delivery ("HomeExpress," "we," "us," or "our") operates the HomeExpress Delivery mobile applications (iOS and Android), web application, and website (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Driver Information
- Account information: Name, email address, phone number, profile photo
- Vehicle information: Vehicle type, license plate number
- Location data: GPS coordinates during active delivery routes (used for navigation, arrival detection, and delivery verification)
- Delivery photos: Proof-of-delivery photos taken at customer locations
- Device information: Device model, operating system version, app version
- Performance data: Delivery completion rates, on-time rates, customer ratings
2.2 Customer Information
- Delivery address: Provided by the shipping client for delivery purposes
- Name: Recipient name for delivery verification
- Tracking queries: Tracking numbers entered on our tracking portal
2.3 Automatically Collected Information
- IP address and browser type (website visitors)
- App usage analytics (crash reports, feature usage)
- Push notification tokens (for delivery status updates)
3. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and improve the delivery service
- Process route assignments and delivery verification
- Calculate driver earnings and performance metrics
- Send delivery status notifications to customers
- Detect and prevent fraud or unauthorized access
- Comply with legal obligations
- Respond to customer support inquiries
4. Location Data
We collect precise location data from drivers ONLY during active delivery routes. Location tracking:
- Starts when a driver begins a delivery route
- Stops when the route is completed or the driver goes offline
- Is used for: navigation, geofence-based arrival detection, delivery verification, and route optimization
- Is NOT collected when the driver is off-duty or the app is not in use
Drivers can control location sharing via the in-app Online/Offline toggle.
5. Proof of Delivery Photos
Photos taken at delivery locations are stored securely and used solely for:
- Verifying successful delivery
- Resolving delivery disputes
- Quality assurance
Photos are retained for 90 days after delivery, then automatically deleted.
6. Data Sharing
We do NOT sell personal information. We share data only with:
- Shipping clients: Delivery status, proof of delivery, and tracking information
- Service providers: Cloud hosting (AWS), mapping services (Google Maps/Apple Maps), push notification services
- Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or government regulation
7. Data Security
- All data transmitted over HTTPS with TLS 1.2+
- Authentication tokens stored in encrypted device storage (Keychain/EncryptedSharedPreferences)
- Certificate pinning on production API connections
- Access controls and audit logging on all backend systems
- Regular security assessments
8. Data Retention
- Driver accounts: Retained while account is active, deleted 30 days after account closure
- Location data: Retained for 7 days, then aggregated/anonymized
- Delivery photos: 90 days
- Tracking data: 1 year
- Financial records: 7 years (legal requirement)
9. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt out of non-essential communications
- Revoke location permissions at any time through device settings
10. Children's Privacy
Our Service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
